Fans of Grammy award-winning singer, Damini Ogulu, popularly known by his stage name Burna Boy have stormed the page of his alleged new girlfriend, Diamond.
The Jamaican-American rapper and songwriter, whose birth name is Brittany Nicole Carpentero, has been alleged to be the new girlfriend of the singer.
KFN reported hours ago that Burna Boy seemed to have moved on from Big Brother Naija ‘Lockdown’ finalist Nengi Hampson and his British ex-girlfriend, Stefflon Don.
‘Odogwu’, as he is fondly called, had been caught in bed with a Jamaican artist, who goes by the name, Diamond the Body, on Instagram.
The curvy brown chocolate singer had shared a photo of her and the singer loved up in bed.
The singer posted it on her private chat with her close friends.
It had been alleged that one of her friends leaked the pictures online.
Though Burna Boy’s face wasn’t visible in the picture, his tattoos gave him up.
The lady revealed that the Grammy singer told her that he felt safer with her.

Reaction Trail Chimamanda Adichie’s open letter to Biden on Outcome Of Presidential Elections.
Amid the plethora of controversies that have plagued the February 25 presidential elections across the 774 Local Government Areas of Nigeria, reactions have begun trailing an open letter written by internationally-acclaimed author and poet, Chimamanda Adichie to the United States government explaining why it cannot congratulate the winner of the just-concluded polls, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
In the letter, titled ‘Nigeria’s Hollow Democracy’ which was published via The ATLANTIC, Adichie insisted that a member of the Biden administration goofed for congratulating Tinubu despite the glaring irregularities, which included INEC’s failure to transmit results of the presidential elections, voter intimidation, widespread violence, and snatching of ballot boxes.
Going further, the renowned novelist revealed that she supported Peter Obi of the Labour Party because Nigerians were assured repeatedly that their votes would count as a result of the deployment of technology during the polls.
Quite interestingly, Adichie’s letter has elicited a flurry of mixed reactions from Nigerians online as many trooped to the comments section to share their thoughts.
While some persons lauded her decision to make her voice heard in the controversial presidential election, others, however, accused her of deliberately speaking ill of her country to the international community.

About 672 million Africans, representing 48 per cent of the continent’s population, still lack access to the quality health care they need, WHO Regional Director for Africa, Matshidiso Moeti, has said.
Ms Moeti, in a statement to commemorate the 2023 World Health Day (WHD), said this is due to weak health systems characterised by inadequate health infrastructure; poorly designed policies to limit financial barriers to health services
She also identified the shortage of qualified health workers; inadequate access to quality medicines, medical products, and innovative technologies as part of the causes of the health crisis on the continent.
She said the COVID-19 pandemic, health emergencies, and worsening climate situations negatively impact the continent’s efforts to accelerate progress toward achieving Universal Health Coverage (UHC).
“Health emergencies, many of which are driven by climate change, often disrupt access to safe water and sanitation services, increasing the risk of waterborne and vector-borne diseases,” she said.
The official, however, said strengthening health systems based on strong Primary Health Care (PHC) is crucial to building back better and accelerating progress towards UHC and health security.
She also noted that financial investment in PHC oriented by the building blocks of health systems, particularly a health workforce, health infrastructure, medicines, and health technologies, should be supported and guided by evidence.
“Ensuring additional investment to improve financial risk protection, addressing inequities, and building the resilience of national health systems in the post-COVID era is critical to our efforts to accelerate progress towards UHC in the African Region,” she said.

World Health Day is marked on 7 April annually to draw attention to specific health topics of concern globally.
The theme of the WHD 2023 is “Health for All – Strengthening PHC to Build Resilient Systems,”. The day also coincides with World Health Workers Week which runs from 7 to 11 April with the theme “Investing in the Health Work Force.
Ms Moeti said the day serves as a reminder to all to work towards achieving UHC by 2030.
She said UHC represents the aspiration that quality health services should be received by everyone when and where needed, without incurring financial hardships
“Beyond health and wellbeing, UHC also contributes to social inclusion, gender equality, poverty eradication, economic growth, and human dignity.”
She said although most member states in the African region have integrated the attainment of UHC as a central goal of their national health strategies, progress remains varied in translating this progress into equitable and quality services as well as increasing financial protection for the population.

Ms Moeti said WHO was founded 75 years ago with an ambitious objective, “the attainment of all peoples of the highest possible level of health.”

Since 1974, millions of children have received life-saving vaccines and other child survival interventions,” She said.

“Scaling up essential health services and coverage with key interventions has yielded results. Between 2011 and 2021, new HIV infections in the WHO African Region were reduced by 44 per cent and AIDS-related deaths by 55 per cent. TB deaths in the region fell by 26 per cent between 2015 and 2021.”
She expressed appreciation to governments, development partners, civil society, academia, the private sector, and communities for their commitment and contribution to achieving our collective effort of health for all.
“I am proud to have worked alongside all of you these past years. I look forward to a renewed collaboration and determination to make even more progress in the years to come,” she said.

2023 elections, proof no more easy route to power – Buhari
President Muhammadu Buhari says the 2023 elections proved the growing strength of Nigeria’s democracy and the sophistication of the Nigerian voter when it comes to the choice of leaders.
His media aide, Malam Garba Shehu, stated in Abuja on Thursday that the president made the remark when he hosted the newly-installed Emir of Dutse, Alhaji Muhammad Sunusi, who visited him.
Buhari noted that the failure of 10 sitting governors to get elected into the Senate showed that there was no longer a guaranteed route to power and the voter is truly the king when it comes to choices.
“It is a testament to the maturity of our democracy and to the amazing sophistication of the voter.
“What shocked me was that the ordinary citizen who was usually underrated made the point of his political understanding of things.
“Assumption is always that you are a governor for eight years and you go to the Senate to crown the career.
“No one should underrate the Nigerian voter anymore. Politics will be more difficult, henceforth,’’ the president observed.
After listening to the emir who listed projects executed in Jigawa by the Buhari administration and requested for more, the president promised to do his best for the state in his remaining time in office.
He also pledged to brief incoming-President Bola Tinubu on the requests made and noted that the particular problem of water shortage in Dutse was worrisome.
The president told the emir and his entourage that he and the nation would continue to miss his friend, the late emir, Alhaji Nuhu Sunusi, saying that he would continue to pray for the repose of the deceased.
Earlier, the emir and the leader of the delegation, Alhaji Muhammad Hamim thanked the Buhari administration for helping Jigawa to excel in rice production and for approving a rail link to Dutse from Kano.
The traditional ruler also lauded the president for the restoration of peace to the state, to the entire country and to neighbouring countries that had suffered past insecurity.
Emir Sunusi earlier welcomed the upgrading of the Army Battalion in Dutse to a full military Brigade and requested the president to address the acute water shortage being experienced in the Jigawa capital.

Port Harcourt Youths Apprehend notorious Criminal who sleeps with his Victims
A young man on Friday morning was apprehended by some youths at Rumuola located in Port Harcourt, the Rivers State Capital for alleged criminal activities in the community.
The youths who are members of the Community Vigilante Group stripped the man of his shirt and was openly beating him with ropes and stick.
The most shocking and surprising thing was that while he was being beaten his dick was still standing.
The criminal who continued to plead for mercy was later taken away to the Community Head’ s Palace to avoid Him being burnt to death by more angry residents that were coming into the scene.
At the Palace he confessed and accepted the crime telling the people that he did what he did to make money but only taking pleasure in raping women.
He still being brutally beaten even at the community head Palace because he has been making life unbearable for residents of the community for a very long time.
However the community finally begged that he should be left alone, he placed a call on the police who arrived the scene immediately and took the criminal away.
The police assured that he will be given proper investigations before he will be charged to court to face the full wrath of the law for all the crime he has been committing.
